Check a leaking toilet by adding a few drops of food color in the toilet tank, if the color appears in the bowl after some time then it means the toilet is leaking and it’s about time to fix the flapper.
If a pipe bursts, immediately shut off the main supply water valve.
You can also use a wire coat hanger to clear minor clogs. Straighten it to create a hook at the end. This would help you in clearing out the hair and debris.
Run the plunger under hot water. This would soften the rubber, which would provide better suction.
Try to follow a basic plumbing check-up routine. In which you must look for possible leaks and damages. Keep your drains clear, do not flush everything down the drain. Also, check the water pressure, and use strainers in the sink to avoid draining the food particles.
